NEED An awful irony, cancer treatment is often more brutal than the disease. During cancer treatment the body is poisoned (chemotherapy), burned (radiation), and slashed (surgery). Any one of these treatments leave the body diminished in function, resulting in poor mental status and lowered quality of life. The current medical model of cancer treatment may resolve the cancer; however, the negative side effects from the treatment are often left unaddressed. Medical studies prove that exercise helps minimize the detrimental side effects of cancer treatment and aids in the return of a higher quality of life after cancer.
The FIT TO FIGHT program helps cancer survivors return to a quality of life where they can re-establish trust in their bodies and return to daily life as a productive member of their community.
FIT TO FIGHT is a ten week small group program designed for cancer survivors who have recently become deconditioned or chronically fatigued from their treatment and or disease.

Each session consists of stretching, breathing & relaxation, resistive strengthening, and endurance training. You’ll be encouraged to document your exercise progression and journal about how you feel before and after exercise each week.
